BOOKS BAFFLE GEN Z. More and more as parents give their kids electronic devices to play with. From a very early age they are looking at a screen. This has teachers frustrated. One teacher in Mississippi told the story about a student and a book. This was a kindergarten class.
She did not say the students name, but mentioned that the parents of the student only used electronic media and it showed. When looking at an actual book in the classroom a student became very frustrated and acted out. The teacher tried to calm the student but she was not having it.
Apparently she was upset that the book would not allow her to zoom in. Also she could not get it to change the channel or go over to You Tube. Mrs. Eckhart was not the first teacher to report this problem. Others have reported the same thing.
“I was at the doctor’s office and I didn’t have my phone, so I decided to look at a magazine. When I turned to a picture I liked, brain thought I was on Instagram and I seriously double-tapped the picture, trying to ‘like’ it.”
This does span to adult hood. BOOKS BAFFLE GEN Z

You might have meant this to be a joke, but the statement is so true. I taught preschool for over 16 years, I think the only media social that was beginning to come out was Facebook. But I could tell who was read to and who played with toys vs. the kids that watched way too much tv or playing video games, and being on the computer all the time. I could tell by the way they act and their interactions with other people.
