GIANT DESERT PINE TREE, attracts more attention than it would if it were not so in your face. After all that was the goal of the city of Las Vegas Nv. To beautify the cell towers and make them look more nice.
At least with this one they actually painted the column brown. Most are left as the galvanized metal that they are. But in the grander scheme of things I can say that I never noticed the towers until they made them look like giant 90 foot pine trees.
It would make more since to make them look like giant palm trees since those are every where in Vegas. Or even a giant cactus. At least that represents the desert.
Somehow some way the council thought that this was the thing to do. Proves that there is not much wisdom in the local governments anymore.
BUT THERE IS MORE
Since the addition of all of those branches signals on cell phones have gone to crap. I’m no cell engineer but i can say that my signal even sitting here 100 feet away from it is only 3 bars.
If you think about it at that range it should be 5 bars without a problem. But hey; who cares if the people have a good signal or not as long as it looks like a GIANT DESERT PINE TREE.
