NATIONAL GET KNOCKED UP, well sort of. Today is National clams on the half shell day. As we all know a man is much more potent after eating the slimy little raw devils. It is also said that each year tonight is the night more women get pregnant than any other.
Let’s face it. What man does not like a slimy treat with a beer. And the more you eat the more beer goes down. It’s unclear if the clams have the same effect on women who eat them, but my guess is not like the guys.
It’s most likely that the beer has more effect than the clams. Thus much like the clam, feeling a little wiggly. Now the most potent and most popular are the ones called Top neck. At about 2 inches long they are the perfect bite sized slimy oozy gooey goodness.
NATIONAL GET KNOCKED UP is a day that I enjoy but then again I love clams in all forms. Half shell, chowder, baked, steamed, and pretty much any way you can think of. But being single I won’t be worried about the whole pregnancy thing.
So go out and enjoy the slimy little devils. If not, more for me.
