TIGHTWAD MISSOURI

TIGHTWAD MISSOURI was originally named Edgewood. It’s new name came about because of a farmer that was to leave a watermelon for a postman. After the postman finished his route, He returned to find the watermelon not there. later he found out that the farmer sold it to another for 50 cents more. The postman called him Tightwad, and did so every day after.

But there does not seem to be any tightwads in this small town. Just 66 people and one square mile. Seems like there is a job opening. Or at least room for one. However I think it might be hard to be that way in a town where you can get; A coffee and a meal for less than $10. But I guess one could try.

TIGHTWAD MISSOURI may not have any tightwads but it does have friendly people. And lots of laughter and stories. It has a bank, and good food. It is also a quiet place and has a lot of history and rumors and legends about the farmer and his watermelon cart.

So go forth you tightwads to this very small town. Maybe you will come back just a little looser, Or perhaps you will stay and fill the slot.
