PEANUT BUTTER JELLY TIME is my favorite day of the year! It is the day I give huge thanks to George Washington Carver for inventing peanut butter. Peanut butter is the perfect snack and it goes on almost anything.
Jelly is the same way. And both go great on bread. Only those with a peanut allergy have not been able to enjoy the goodness. Many great conversations with kids and adults alike have started over a good PB&J.
Take it hiking or backpacking with you as well. Great way to pass the time while fishing, and if your bait doesn’t work, the PB&J will. Yes even fish like PB&J. It is a light healthy snack (according to some) and to me is quite filling. And the number of jellies you can use with it are staggering.
So on this day make a few, and share half with someone else. Maybe even a stranger. Who knows what you might learn, or who you might meet. PEANUT BUTTER JELLY TIME is a great time to meet someone new and have a great conversation.
